Good morning. Plan around water first. The NWS has severe Flood Warnings out for Brewster, Texas (NWS Midland/Odessa) and twice for Socorro, New Mexico (NWS Albuquerque). NPR reports the Four Corners region remains on a flood watch after days of heavy rain and winds; ABC News reports the flood warning is lingering and that soaked towns face sewage-tainted waters. Expect contaminated floodwater on any Southwest response — dress for it.

On the coasts, The Guardian reports the NWS warned Southern California of potentially record-breaking tides and told coastal residents to avoid beaches and stay well back from the ocean.
